Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21, 1983. Maggie Grace is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Her parents had divorced and she relocated with her mother into Los Angeles. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first part as Rachel's Room's main character the web-based video show Rachel's Room in the year 2001. The actress was able to secure an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder set in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons of 2004 and was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award (with the rest of the cast) along with her. Grace was dropped from the series in the year 2005, to take on a more significant role in film, appearing opposite Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. She starred as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken 2008) as Suburban Girl as well as The Jane Austen Book Club. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) are her re-casts of the roles. Grace played Shannon's part in Lost for two more episodes, including the final episode of the series. The year 2013 saw Grace appear in Californianation, the 6th season. The actress portrays Faith as a female groupie and also a model for stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. Part of the Gyllenhaal family she is the daughter of film makers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and the older cousin of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. In her early teens She appeared in small roles in films made by her father. She also co-starred with her older brother in Donnie Darko the famous cult film. Later, she was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her leading roles in Secretary (2002 the erotic romance drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606), both of which garnered her Golden Globe Award nods. The actress gained more attention when she portrayed Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercial films she starred in in 2006. The film was nominated to win an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Crazy Heart, (2009). Then, she went on to star in comedies and dramas like Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011), and Won't Back Down (12). Her other roles include Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013 Action thriller) and actors in Frank (2014 Drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) in addition to The kindergarten teacher. In 2021 Gyllenhaal has made her scriptwriting and directing debut in the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter for which she won the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated to win the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
